Fun Christmas Games using BALLOONS!

Fun Christmas Games using BALLOONS!

We have come up with a few Christmas games for you to try with your family.  As we get closer and closer to the end of the school term, we look forward to spending time with the family over the festive period, however when it comes down the keeping the children entertained, ideas can run dry after the initial excitement.

These games are so simple to set up and super cheap too, you can buy our 10” biodegradable latex balloons here

Balloon Boogie

Everyone gathers together and they pass a balloon around as they dance to the most festive music you can find.

Then, when the music stops, the player holding the balloon needs to call out the name of another player and toss the balloon in the air.

The players whose name is called out must try and catch the balloon before it hits the floor.

If they miss, they are out of the game.

Repeat the steps for several rounds, until all but one player has been eliminated, and they will be the winner.

Balloon People

There will need to be one person who will be the judge, everybody else will take an inflated balloon and you’ll need some markers and stickers for everyone to decorate their balloons by adding faces.

It can help to sticky tape the balloon to the table to keep it in place.

You may even want to create little paper feet and hands to stick on, but remind everyone to be gentle.

The aim is to create the funniest balloon person in the shortest time. The judge will then decide who’s balloon person is the winner.

Balloon Power

Get a light weight ball such as a ping pong ball or similar rolling toy.

Set a start and finish line.

Inflate the balloon, then, on your marks, get set, GO! … Release the air, using it to propel the ball or toy.

First one across the finish line wins the game.

Waddle Racing

Have everyone begin at the starting line, place a balloon between their knees and race to the finish line without dropping or bursting their balloon.

If you have a large group and limited space, the races can be done as relays.

You can have a lolly in the balloon as a way to limit any losing upsets.

First one across the finish line with their balloon intact wins.

As always, children should be supervised by an adult at all times.

Balloons Galore wish you the very best of luck when trying out these Christmas games and hope they bring you lots of smiles and fun memories are made with your family!
